It’s almost 2017! Happy New Year!
My first new year’s resolution is to maintain this blog on an intermittent basis when inspiration strikes. I’ve written many things that people have responded to with great passion, both positively and negatively. The pen is mighty indeed. So, due to positive feedback from a wide-variety of Facebook friends, I decided to record some of my deep thoughts in this blog.
I’m looking forward to pro-actively changing many things in the new year specifically related to degree and career. I’ve recently applied to the Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology program at Argosy University. Pending final details, I’d start classes January 16th! I’m very excited to turn my keen interest in all those “crazy shows” I watch into a career that helps others. Not many finish this program; it’ll be tough, but I’m up for the challenge.
As if the brisket, latkes and homemade cheese pie weren’t filling enough, after Hanukkah dinner and dessert, as a young girl, I could be found post-dinner in the quiet left corner of Aunt Jane’s sofa devouring one of the two new Nancy Drew books she gifted me annually.
“I have solved some mysteries, I’ll admit, and I enjoy it, but I’m sure there are many other girls who could do the same.” (Carolyn Keene, Nancy’s Mysterious Letter, 1932)
What mysteries do you want to solve? What are your new year’s resolutions? I’d love to hear from you.
